I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to RepairHub Onehunga, especially to Mariska G, the Customer Care Manager, Sione T, the Estimator, and Glen G, the Center Manager, for their professionalism, customer-centered approach, and exceptional problem-solving skills. RepairHub is fortunate to have such dedicated individuals representing the brand.
A bit of background: I’ve been driving for over 20 years and have had my current car for more than 10 years. In early August 2024, my parked car was damaged in an incident, affecting both the front and rear bumpers, as well as the hatchback door.
My car insurer initially referred me to a different RepairHub branch closer to my home for the repairs. Unfortunately, the initial repair took over three weeks, involved multiple reworks, and was still poorly done. One issue even resulted in a tailgate malfunction immediately after I got the car back.
After making a formal complaint to my insurer, I decided to take my car to the RepairHub Onehunga branch (closer to my office) for a second opinion on the repair work done.
I was prepared for them to possibly send me away since the poor repair had been done at another branch. Instead, Mariska, the Customer Care Manager, quickly located my record in their system and went straight to the workshop to bring in Sione, the Estimator, to inspect my car.
I expected Sione to give a quick glance, offer an opinion, and then send me on my way. Instead, he performed a thorough check, even going underneath the car to investigate the malfunction. He even took tools from the workshop and tried to fix the issue on the spot. When it became clear the problem would take longer to diagnose, he suggested leaving the car with them, and Mariska quickly arranged a courtesy car for me.
Two days later, I was informed that my car was ready. Glen G, the Center Manager, personally greeted me by my car and explained in detail what had caused the malfunction and how they had fixed it. I was more than satisfied with the repair—it just felt right, both physically and mechanically.
For reference, the issue turned out to be a faulty latch in the replacement part, which caused an unusual locking sensation in the tailgate. I had raised this concern twice with the original repairer, but they dismissed it, claiming it was “normal” and that as long as the door locked, it was acceptable.
Back to Glen’s team—not only did they resolve the malfunction to the highest standard, but they also went above and beyond to fix areas the previous repairer had overlooked or left untidy.
I told Glen on-site that his team’s efforts had completely changed my opinion of the RepairHub brand, transforming my experience from negative to positive. While I initially went to the Onehunga branch for a second opinion, I ended up with an excellent repair job.
This is, of course, my personal experience and opinion. However, as a business insights analyst by trade, I understand what drives business success and what leads to failure. What Mariska, Sione, and Glen demonstrated are the qualities every successful business shares.

My claim had been approved almost immediately by my insurance company but even after the photos of the scratches on the car were sent to Repair Hub (RH) for their assessment, I was still waiting for another two weeks without any updates from them. I then had to call my insurance company to check if I should simply continue waiting for RH to call. Asking me to stay on the phone, my insurance company called Repair Hub. They asked RH to talk to me while they stayed on the phone over a three-way phone call to listen in. During this call, RH gave me a booking date that was a further two weeks away. When I asked them if they could give me something a bit sooner, they booked me in for a day which was a week earlier. 10 days after drop-off, when I went to pick up the car, they gave me my car keys to go and collect my car. Interestingly before I had even seen the work they had done on my car, I was asked if I had a few minutes to complete a survey. I suggested they email me the link. I had to ask them where my car was parked. It was only a scratch, and RH did a decent job like any other panel beater would have done except there was nothing exceptional about RH’s job or their customer service that I could not have received from another panel beater. I have been to other panel and paint workshops through my insurance before this and there was always an individualized touch to their service. When we go to collect our car, the other panel beaters take us out to the car to ensure that we are happy with the work done on it. RH’s customer services seem detached, and their processes lacked efficiency. I must add that one of their customer services person, Rebecca stood out with her cheerfulness and pleasant dealings while there was another lady who genuinely looked unhappy and grumpy. Some reviewers on this site have complemented RH for the cleaning of their cars. Frankly, there is nothing much to write about that here since I have had better vacuuming of the insides done before. While inspecting their work on my car, I called the unhappy looking counter person who was outdoors at the time to enquire if my car was indeed vacuumed.
