The course is advertised for beginners as well as experienced, but I would disagree. If you are confident and experienced it would be no problem, but after the initial demonstration you are pretty much on your own to figure it out yourself. I got stuck at one point at the start of a section, and the employees were no where to be seen. When I managed to get myself back down I saw three of them all heads down having lunch together and none on the lookout or helping people. When I said to the main instructor (who showed us the safety demo) that there was no one around when I got stuck, he quite rudely turned it around and said I didn't ask for help and should have shouted or screamed for help and he would have come. This would have been in front of 10 other people who were right behind me waiting to get on, so would be a bit humiliating "screaming" for help. Anyway I disagree, I think for safety you should have someone there in eyesight at all times. Basically, if you don't need support then it's a great course, but if you do, I would...

From initial liaison with Ryan to the onsite safety briefing these guys have really got high rope & obstacle course climbing down to a fine art level and operate at a world class level. Equipment is great, multiple course levels to suit all abilities are great, onsite staff all great, and location tucked into the grounds by Gear Homestead is fantastic. The 3 hour timeslot used disappeared in no time and we left with a very excited group with many great tales to tell and lots of photos. Was surprised at just how many other people there were throughout the day - it is certainly a very popular activity in the region, but there was never a queue, and courses are so well laid out that folk just disappear into them. This is a great asset for the Wellington region and the family can't wait to get back...
Read moreWe loved our visit here! The youngest member of our group was 11, so we didn't move through the courses quickly, which meant there will be tons of new stuff to do on a second visit! It was well worth the ticket price Most of the activities on the course were actively scooting across lines or climbing around, but there were quite a few zip lines/"flying foxes" as well. It was very fun to see how different people in our group tackled each task differently. The equipment seemed in good shape and was very cleverly designed to keep us safe while giving us independence from the staff. The downsides: parking is a little confusing (we had to drive past it and guess where we're allowed to park) and the bathroom near the course is gross--so you want to walk up the hill to use the flush toilets 5...
