Three loopwalks of varying difficulty from this pretty little reserve - the easy 45min Horoeka loopwalk, the intermediate 2.5hr Kingsley walk and the harder 3hr Tawhai loop. We completed the Kingsley walk which takes you through the bush, over streams and bridges, up to a wide track that takes you past the pylons and top of the Silverstream tip over to the top of Kingsley St. Then a walk through the suburb back to carpark on Horoeka St.

Just an awesome place for the kids, with a 1 km Bush walk filled with little fairy houses and doors. Highly recommended, and not too hard. We chose to go on a day that was really hot and sunny because it is all under the canopy of the trees, making for a cool experience.

A great experience for kids and adults. The short walk is fine for inexperienced walkers and has a gentle slope up the hill when taken in a clockwise direction. The fairy houses are made by local children and artists with some beautiful craftwork and a lot of love.

Went on this enchanting walk and had a blast. Awesome for kids and adults that love a little fairytale in their life. Plenty of fairy doors, castles and a troll bridge to suprise you.Took tonnes of photos and can not wait till to add our very own fairy door to the collection. The walk is a little rough and adventurous with tree roots making mazes through the walkway. Some narrow parts and rough walkways; so I would advise that it is not for anyone in a wheelchair, bad knees or ankles...

I visited this place for the first time with my daughter and her dog (on a leash of course) yesterday. We did the easy walk which took about 45 minutes. There's also a medium and hard route. It was a really lovely track through bush with fairy doors and houses dotted amongst the trees to delight the young, and young at heart. The track is quite narrow, with tree roots, so you do have to watch your step. There's also a lovely area at the beginning for a picnic, or just sitting...
