Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) — Attraction in North Island

Come here most days for a walk with hubby, bubs (in the front pack) and the dog. It's a beautiful track with spectacular views of the lake. It's lovely to hear all the native bird life. The whole loop takes about 1.5 hours. We usually start at the lookout rather than by the road. Most of the track is shaded except for by the main road so recommend hats, sunnies and sunscreen. There is a bit of a slope - if you go the whole way around you'll come across some stairs, but they're easy enough to get up. Haven't actually been in the lake itself, but it's always busy and looks...

Lake Tikitapu also known as the Blue lake is a beautiful lake in Rotorua. Visited the lake during the rains, and the views of the lake and the mountains around with the forest covered in misty rain was very mesmerizing. Lots of malllard ducks around - pretty friendly ducks - poses for the pictures.. Enough parking space, there is also a trail around the lake, a ark nearby and short forest walks. A must visit...

To people living in Rotorua city will require transport to visit this place... If you intend to visit the beautiful place ensure you keep it clean...one can also see ducks 🦆 here. The scenic is good to see at around 2pm. The water is clean and there is special parking as well.... Its a strict no smoking zone.... Nice to place to get...
