Unique Beauty & Hair — Attraction in Puketāpapa

Very bad experience for first time visitor. Highly unprofessional people and totally not hygienic place to go. I went for threading and waxing and felt so much pain. They didn't even use powder to clean and brush my eyebrows and too much painful service. They didn't use clean up brush after threading so my eyes were full of hairs and it hurts and didn't even ask how was it do you need any changes or not and they ruined my shape and I still have lots of unattended hair to remove which I need to do by my self. Waxing was the worst they are using jeans clothes to remove hairs not even using strips totally unhygienic a big no no. And they are putting too much hot and lot amount of wax in arm and legs it was like why you are not being professional who use this much wax in body I am sure I can do wax by self better than them. And they are not even making sure are you comfortable on chair is this temperature of wax okay for you nothing. They gave me one wet towel to clean after wax and it was used by others i had others hairs in my body sooooo yuck 🤮. I felt vomiting and I felt so trapped I wanted to go home. Too much painful service I literally cried over there. I would never recommend this to any of my Indian and non Indian friends and make sure no one should treated like hell. I am surprised that someone has left such a negative review for this place. I am their customer for 15+ years now. I have never felt to hold back to give any feedback or request anything from them. The owner and the entire team is fantastic.

Khushali Jani, I am surprised that while you were there you never try to mention any of your concerns and you had time & effort to post such a negative review. Is there an agenda to purposely give such a review? if you were really not happy then you should have left and got your satisfying services somewhere else. I am sure before coming to Unique Beauty & Hair you must be visiting somewhere else. Or were you not satisfied there either.

I’m not one to usually post reviews but I just had the worst experience at Unique Beauty. It was my first time going there to get waxing done and I think I was charged more than I should’ve. The manager charged me $30 to wax my bum which is too much for a small area. The technique used isn’t the best either as they use some denim material instead of waxing strips which was extremely painful. They also used the same spatula to dip into the wax instead of disposable sticks for all different parts of the body which I think is very unsanitary. I was then wiped with a cold wet towel which I don’t know how many others have used which is disgusting. The manager offered a $10 discount which I can “use during my next visit” as they want to retain customers but I don’t think I’ll ever be going there again.
