Puhoi Heritage Museum — Attraction in Rodney

Pūhoi has a long and interesting history 🤔 European settlement began on 29 June 1863 by a group 👥👥 of German-speaking migrants from Staab (modern Stod) in Bohemia, now in the Czech Republic, under the leadership of Captain Martin Krippner. This has given it the appellation of "Bohemian Settlement" 😊

You are able to experience and explore 👀 the unique history of Pūhoi from its Bohemian/Māori foundations in the 1860s to the present day at the Puhoi Heritage Museum

One of the most interesting things was a model of the entire town 😮 There is a dongle where you input the display number and it talks you through it. It's an interesting interactive experience 👍 The lady there was very passionate and informative
