Beautiful location, but that's where it stops. We booked my wife's 40th there and our only option was the set menu (understandable). We got water when we first arrived, but once our whole party was present we didn't see any staff. We had to get menu's ourselves after 30mins and weren't given set menu ones, so we had to break it to our guests that they'd given us the wrong ones when I realized the mistake. After 45mins I had to go the front counter and tell them that no one had come to see us and that we'd had zero service so far. They eventually came out to take our order, but the waitress so so incapable of taking our orders that she had to check with the the whole table 3 times to ensure she had it right. We were left with no confidence that she'd got our orders correct (and they weren't complicated being from the set menu). We weren't table checked once by any staff and weren't given the option to order more food or drinks at the table. On the plus side the kids meals came quick and were standard kids fair. The set menu options were basic pub/cafe style meals and were average to say the least. They were cooked well, but there was zero love in the making of them. I'd consider the meals edible, but not at all quality or enjoyable. You expect good service, good food and good wine at a winery. They're usually classy places with superior staff, service, food and drink, but this place is not that. My wife was left disappointed by the whole thing and honestly embarrassed by the experience. Not good enough guys, we won't...
Read moreKudos to the chef as foods were all great but plenty of room for improvement on customer service. We did not feel that we were greeted with warmth welcome and when actual turn up is slightly different from booking, reception shown a tight face as we might have upset her table setting. When taking order, the lady ignore other diners' voice and focus only on 1 diner. The rest of us felt like a transparent glass. When we chat and laugh a bit loudly, we saw service personnel gathered and discussed about us even pointing fingers at us which seemed like a rude manners to diners. If not for the vineyard scenery we would not go there and will not go again as there are plenty other great vineyard dining that is as good if not better for me to bring future guests for pleasant visit & dine experience. Also, dining tables and chairs appear too casual contrast to the environment, it makes us feel like dining at a canteen not a wine and dine restaurant type of setting. Business needs to learn that without customer,...
Read moreStopped there today for lunch. Not disappointed.
Place is beautiful. Very friendly stuff. Sun was shining which was great to have some food outdoors. We ordered the chicken breast and fish and chips.
Chicken breast was outstanding. For myself I felt the portion wouldnt be enough but having some chips was the right amount for a person. Tasted amazing.
Fish and chips was great. Massive shout out for the mayo with a bit of citric flavour. That thing was YUMMY. Changed the whole experience.
Dessert was not that great though. Appearence was amazing but the chocolate brownie cake was very dry. It needed something to go together. The cake portion was too big for the ice-cream which finished first so eating the cake by itself wasn't the best experience.
Overall the desert didn't ruin the great time we had there. Defs a place I would go again and try...
