They’re selling fireworks this season. One star review on ethical grounds, this is a rural area, fireworks are inappropriate because they cause harm to animals and they’re a fire risk. Their decision to become s firework retailer flies in the face of their produce decisions ie selling only free-range organic meat. If Kumeu Produce Market want a good reputation in a rural area & genuinely want to minimise harm to animals, why the fireworks?? Absolutely love this place - it’s miles away from where I live but I happily drive the distance because it’s the best fresh fruit and veges in Auckland. Well priced, but high quality - no getting things home from the supermarket that go bad in a couple of days. Lots of locally grown produce too and it shows. They also have a few other bits and pieces on offer - I love the Biltong they stock from a local butcher. If they offered a delivery service I’d use it...
