Visited 21st April Nice Food Market, Fresh produce and meat and very interesting Mix of products from the not so usuall variety of brands sold at regular stores to some familiar brands that you can purchase at your local supermarket. Best described as similar to Farros. On my visit i decided to Purchase items that i usual get from the supermarket which were a fraction on the more expensive side but wanted to show support by buying a few things which i honestly didnt really need. My first encounter with a staff member was when I went to pay for my items and the Mutti twin pack pizza sauce I was purchasing rang up more than what I assumed was the price that was displayed directly below the item. When I queried this with the young lady reacted very annoyed she walked behind my husband who also went to check, after a minute she came back and all she said was what my total was to pay.... she didn't explain that the Price below the items was not for the pizza sauce but for twinpack canned tomatoes that was not anywhere on the shelf and neither did she offer up an apology for what was clearly their mistake . Customer service and word of mouth goes a long way in this day and age where businesses need the support of locals and people like myself who are not local. It is a way of showing them appreciation for continued and / or ongoing support and loyalty. It's sad that all it takes is the attitude of one staff member to make a customer not want to return, on the other hand the young man that stood at the counter while i waited for the teller to return was the total opposite he was sweet, friendly engaging and really really nice a stark difference to his colleague. He definitely swayed my initial reaction to...
Read moreI used to enjoy coming here with my son and friends as our local grocery because the kids love the outdoor playground. But today’s experience was something else—truly eye-opening. My son picked up a apricot while pushing a kids' shopping cart, and within seconds, an male staff swooped in, demanding to know how we planned to pay for it. I mean, seriously, who would dare steal a whole apricot? I reassured him that I’d add an extra item to the checkout, just like I did earlier when my child ate a mandarin. Not every store is as generous as Countdown or other Asian supermarkets that offer free fruit for kids, and that’s okay. But apparently, that wasn’t good enough. The staff made a grand show of personally escorting the apricot to the checkout and instructing the cashier to ensure we paid for it. Because, you know, a single apricot could bring down the entire store’s profit margin. The level of distrust was honestly impressive. When I went to pay, I repeatedly checked with the cashier, and she very generously told me it was no big deal. So, was all that drama really necessary? Not mean to esclate this, I'm wondering is he doing this to all the customers?Next time, I guess we’ll have to request a written contract before...
Read moreWouldnt reccomend the cafe here sadly ): . Never seen so much unnecessary waste at a cafe before! Everything was served on throw away plates/cutlery/ coffee cups. Even the drinking water was served in a throw away cup. When eating in and getting a coffee in, your food comes on a throw away plate with a takeaway cup coffee. Although everything is 'compostable' there was no bins labeled compostable and the only bins available had black plastic bags in them (which obviously cannot be composted). Just makes absolutely no sense when the kitchen has a dishwasher why that dishwasher couldnt be used to wash plates and cutlery ect. Not the mention the cost to the store to keep buying these items. Really expected better from a store that stocks organic and has an entire eco store section of zero waste items. Food wasnt fresh and was overpriced. Wouldn't recommend, unless there was a drastic improvement in the above...
