It's..... quite bad. We hike on end Nov 2024 and to the first viewpoint of the blue lake after the signage on the path. This is the first thing we saw and we turned around after. The glaciers do not flow well enough so it's now been filled by rainwater so it's not blue anymore.
There may be more to the hike and not sure how it looks further up but If you are expecting to see blue lakes, I suggest to manage your expectations or just visit the tasman glacier lake!
