It's..... quite bad. We hike on end Nov 2024 and to the first viewpoint of the blue lake after the signage on the path. This is the first thing we saw and we turned around after. The glaciers do not flow well enough so it's now been filled by rainwater so it's not blue anymore.

There may be more to the hike and not sure how it looks further up but If you are expecting to see blue lakes, I suggest to manage your expectations or just visit the tasman glacier lake!

There should be signs to update that it's not blue anymore so people don't waste their time and effort hiking up to this point to...

Great little diversion on the track up to the Tasman glacier viewpoint. There are 3 little lakes nestled in a sheltered spot. I didn’t realise there was more than one lake until I was near the top of the glacier view walk. We went in Autumn. Imagine it is more vibrant...
