Coal Pit Vineyard — Attraction in South Island

I love your wine!! I have shared it with company and it has been a winner! I love the Sauvignon Blanc it's beautiful, also the flagship Tiwha, absolutely 💯 beautiful, I do not buy wine from a shop anymore, I just order it from Coalpit, from the South island to the North island I received my box of wine in 1-2 days, so happy to have gone on a wine trail while i was in Queenstown and taste there wine, that's it, I never bought another brand of Savy! sold! to the lady that loves her Savy. Nice and fresh, crisp, served chilled on a summer day....

There is only one word that can be used to describe Coal Pit and that word is superlative. And even that word probably still falls short, unlike Coal Pit where it exceeds at every step.

Every drop of wine, superlative! Every inch of the winery experience, superlative! Every interaction with the team, especially Kate, superlative!

Tried to taste Coal Pit's wine, but there was a sign that they don't do tastings at the vineyard, so don't come here but go down to Kinross Cottages (about 1km further on the main road). At Kinross, we tried 2 Coal Pit wines, a rose and a Pinot. The wines were ok. The rose had a lot of sour apple notes; the Pinot was light with some kind of musty earthy spice.
