Part of the Queenstown Marathon bonus is a discount at the Gibbston Tavern for finishers. We’ve been to Queenstown multiple times and not heard of this place so thought we’d try it. Absolutely snagged it as hadn’t booked a table but we managed to snag a table as the place is very popular! Service was fantastic, food was absolutely fantastic!! I had fish and chips (very fresh and beautiful!), my partner had Nachos (against beautiful!!) friends had the beef and chicken burgers and said they were lovely too! Had the Aunt Fanny Sav, beautiful! Very casual atmosphere, dogs allowed so just perfect! If I lived local I’d be here every other week!! Recommend booking if coming as multiple bikers...

Read moreGibbston Tavern is a fantastic place to visit when in the area. We visited on a cold afternoon, tavern was very cosy with the hot fire very appreciated! Service was friendly and attentive, with a lot of care taken. We didn’t order food this time, but will be back for the amazing looking pizza. Beer was great and loved the mulled wine, owner was kind enough to gift us a bottle to take with us 🙏 Outdoor area is great, would be lovely in summer, with lots of seats and games to play. And Hank, the resident dog, loved having his company, definitely a character! We definitely recommend and will return when back in the Gibbston Valley. Thanks for your...
