From the moment we arrived, the team at Mount Edward Winery made us feel incredibly welcome. The staff were not only friendly but also impressively knowledgeable—each wine we tasted came with fascinating insights into the grapes, the region, and the winemaking process. You can tell they’re truly passionate about what they do, and it made the whole experience that much more special. The setting was stunning, the wine was exceptional, and the service was absolutely top-notch. Not to forget they had the cutest dogs that came to greet you. Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just beginning to explore, this place is a must-visit. We went there twice on our trip. Can’t wait to return!

Mount Edward Winery, a definite must visit experience! The winery is quite new, offering a ‘soft launch’ experience when we visited. Their wines were diverse, often complex, and vast. Having significant experience in the realm of wine, we were incredibly impressed by Mount Howard’s range. The winery is incredibly picturesque, slightly quirky, and extraordinarily comfortable to relax, enjoy the afternoon and the amazing wine. The staff were amongst the most knowledgeable we met in the region, and shared and contrasted their varietals with immense detail. We will definitely be visiting again. Thankyou

An unforgettable experience at Mount Edward Vineyard! The service was absolutely amazing—warm, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. The wines were exceptional, each with its own unique character and depth. A special mention to Bindy, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making the tasting experience even more enjoyable. If you appreciate top-quality wines and outstanding hospitality, this is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

What’s to say - this place does an exceptional wine tasting - easy to do considering the wines are so good anyway, but this place gives so much more than just let you taste their wines. Bindy was our “sommelier” for our tasting and she made it one of the highlights of our Queenstown holiday - she is very knowledgable, but has a delightful way of sharing that knowledge in a fun and quirky way that just suits this winery perfectly. My husband and I had been here 2 years ago with a group of friends, and this winery stood out back then, to the point we wanted to bring our kids and their partners to share in the experience. We all loved the tasting so much this time - Bindy was fabulous and we had the bonus of Duncan, the owner, joining us for the latter part of the tasting - he is generous and so laid back and this winery just oozes elements of his personality. We allowed almost 2hrs but could have stayed all day! Put it on your must-do list in the Otago...

my wife and I are both non wine drinkers but stumbled upon this great little place . We visited a few wineries and took photos but there wasn’t much for us to do At mt edward we were greeted by a young local woman (her name we don’t unfortunately remember) and showed a remarkable level of hospitality considering we don’t drink wine. She took the time to show us around get to know us and explain the city and winery history. She recommended activities and restaurants around the area. She was warm and very funny, not something we associate wine people with (sorry ) Thank you for not writing us off I purchased my first and last bottle of wine ever from her. The winery was beautiful and overflowing with personality . our first review ever posted THIS is what we had heard about New Zealand and this is where to find...
