The Gore Public Gardens are one of Gore's well-loved attractions, offering something for locals and visitors alike. Among the exotic trees and shrubs are a number of rare and unusual specimens. The Gardens are a place of ever-changing beauty, showcasing some of NZ's finest fauna and flora. Here, you will find plenty of seating, picnic tables, and an aviary with a wide variety bird species.

This is a smallish garden right smack in the centre of Gore. It may not look like much from the street but the colour and the flowers blooming in spring is just a wonderful sight to behold. Pack a picnic and spend some time in here on a sunny day and you will be so rejuvenated.

Beautiful gardens! Picnic tables and park benches to eat at and enjoy the surrounds. Really lovely rose gardens and Conifer collection. Bird avairies as well. Really enjoyed this paradise in the middle of town, that you wouldnt know that you were in town!

Lots of green and lots of floral as well. The varieties of birds adds up the magic of the garden. There some good songster among the birds and its beautiful song remind you to the sound of wilderness. Good job to Gore local council for creating such a wonderful outlet within Gore township. Please keep the surrounding area to its beautiful state as the council do provide appropriate rubbish bin to keep...

Gardens are lovely, however the birds, particularly the peacock and pheasents need more light and more space. All year it's so dark and dingy in there in such a small place, its actually a shame. They are ground birds that need to scratch on pasture to find insects etc, not be on gravel in a cage with minimal sunlight. Sometimes it's better just to not have something if you can't provide...
