Saint Kilda Beach — Attraction in South Island

Beautiful St Kilda beach that adjoins the Middle beach and St Clair beach. You can see the Lawyers Head to the east of the beach. Nice lovely place for swimming and suntanning, and a few were surfing too on a bright sunny day.

The slope towards the beachfront was a bit steep and hard to walk, especially on the pathway with the sand "eroding" away as you set foot on them. There is an alternate boardwalk path for the less adventurous people.

It is a good place to take a leisure stroll or walk the dog on the fine sands and take in the scenic view as the waves break...

I love this place! I moved here with my boyfriend (he's originally from Dunedin) 3 weeks ago. I've longboarded down here a few times now and i feel so happy when I'm here. I found quite a lot of plastic and nurdles (little plastic beads) on the beach though which was sad 😔 must have been washed up from thr ocean. But I tried to pick up as much as I could on my way back. The seaweed is nuts! I'm from the UK and we don't get seaweed like that there! Anyway. Love it. Beautiful...
