One of the best free third space areas in Dunedin, perfect for contemplation. The vast stretch of sand, the rhythmic sound of waves, and the endless horizon create a natural meditation space.
The best time, in my opinion, is from sunset until the last bus departure from the nearby bus stop. The fading light, the cool ocean breeze, and the quiet atmosphere as the day winds down make it the perfect moment to just exist, with nothing but the sound of the waves and the distant glow of city lights.

Located not far from the city centre, you can get there by local bus 8. (about 15min ride). There are also a few cafes and eateries along the way. Nearby you also find the Saint Clair Hot Salt Water Pools. It's an outdoor hot salt water pool built on a beautiful site at the southern end of St Clair beach.
