The dinosaur park, as it’s informally called, is Dunedin’s best playground. We’ve been going for years, and it’s our favourite place to bring the kids. It gets its name from the large concrete themed slide and swings dotted around the park. Marlow is a very large park, with multiple playground installations, and swings for infants and kids. It has a large concrete climbing hill and tunnel, perfect for little ones. There are seesaws, and two large playground installations, one for younger kids, and a larger one at the back next to the eponymous dinosaur slide. The concrete installations are quite old, yet are still functional and fun. The recent redevelopment of the paved bicycle area, now with functioning traffic lights, cross walks, tunnel, and signs, is the star attraction. The park has many nearby attractions, including a mini golf, train rides, and the beach. Food trucks are always there on summer weekends. In general, Dunedin’s playground situation is dismal, and is a concern for young families looking to settle. However, the dinosaur playground is the one bright spot...

It's a very nice park. New upgrade with a bike/scooter track with traffic lights and give way signs so kids get to learn how to ride safely. Perhaps at some stage they will do an upgrade to playground too as it's very well needed. Kids love it so much that we have decided to organise the birthday party here too.

We love it when is not so busy

Recently they have made 2 disable parking area there but as I am using a knee scooter after surgery, going to the toilet it's a mission to go with the mobility scooter/wheelchair on that very uneven ground plus opening the door to get inside...

Marlow park is an excellent playground for children. From babies swings, slides to toddlers swings slides sea saw, lots of grass to crawl on, then children can ride scooters, trikes, bikes in the sealed area with street signs and road markings on the paved area. There is ample space skateboarding and plenty of modern climbing frames for all children. Toilets and a drink fountain are available. Shade areas and plenty of seating available. No food outlets. Next door at the weekends there is mini golf and also model engineers trains rain...

I visited this park for the first time since moving cities when I was a toddler and it's just as good as I remember. I remember coming here with my dad on special occasions when we drove out towards the coast. This park has a special place in my heart if I'm honest. Located right next to the beach, it's an awesome spot to come with the whole family on a day out. It's a perfect playground for kids to play and use their imagination, with the iconic dinosaur slide as well as the pretend road setup for biking around on. Overall, an amazing playground!

Great clean place to come as a family. Awsome playground for the kids. Basketball courts, scooter/scateboard/ bike ramps, and also a full bike course with working robots to play while learning about road safety. A lot of slides, moneybars, and climbing "parks" for kids to enjoy. See-saw's and swings are also available. A bunch of seats are available for adults to have a break in between playing with kids.
