This is a shorter hike with a great payoff. The best part about this park is that the vegetation changes several times.

We started at the Sculpture Garden car park and walked to the Cascades and back. The vegetation ranges from normal forest around the cascades to giant palm ferns that block so much light that there is no undergrowth. Most of the trail is in full shade, which makes it very comfortable on a hotter day.

And you get serenaded by birds the whole time. If you're looking to get out of the car and invest a little bit of time without too much effort, this is the...

A modest waterfall at the moment, more a babbling brook going downhill. Park outside the Batch Winery, not hundreds of metres away, where Google maps wants to take you. The path is generally good, though there were a few patches that were waterlogged or very muddy. There are also good views of Auckland and nearby countryside from the carpark at the start...

The waterfall is just some water falling through some rocks. So you dont really have to check it out, but the forrest here is great. Its really quiet here except for the birds. The paths are well maintained so pretty much anyone can walk here. Birds 9/10 Waterfall 3/10 Trees 8/10 Evil jungle wizzards 1/10

Would only recommend going if it’s on the way of something else you want to do. Not bad, but the loop took about 5-10 minutes to walk around and the waterfalls were a bit underwhelming. I believe it’s one of the only places on the island with year round running water which is interesting.
