Lonely Bay — Attraction in Waikato

No roads down to Lonely Bay - you'll have to walk down here from the carpark at Shakespeare Cliff. The walk down can be a bit hairy for some people but take it slow - it's worth it. This was a delightful little surprise. We found ourselves with some extra time in Hahei and our hotel recommended visiting Shakespeare lookout and Lonely Bay and we're so glad we did! It was a quick, if steep walk down.

Really nice picnic spot. If driving, it’s only a 5min walk from carpark. Alternatively, if you are walking from Ferry landing, it’s a very easy but longer trip (maybe 40mins one way).
