No roads down to Lonely Bay - you'll have to walk down here from the carpark at Shakespeare Cliff. The walk down can be a bit hairy for some people but take it slow - it's worth it. Secluded and private. That's what makes Lonely Bay so special. Beautiful beach that's pretty calm for swimming. There are trees along the shoreline for some shade but otherwise there is plenty of sand to grab a...

This was a delightful little surprise. We found ourselves with some extra time in Hahei and our hotel recommended visiting Shakespeare lookout and Lonely Bay and we're so glad we did! It was a quick, if steep walk down.

Our kids loved playing in the water and we had a blast shell hunting. So so many shells! The sand is basically blanketed in...

Really nice picnic spot. If driving, it’s only a 5min walk from carpark. Alternatively, if you are walking from Ferry landing, it’s a very easy but longer trip (maybe 40mins one way). Can be added onto the Shakespeare’s Cliff walk. Perfect for a quick dip and quite a bit more isolated. Can also kayak around from Cook’s...
