Hmmm i didnt know there was a Art centre at this place, i want for lunch at the restaurant ground floor of the building Spice platter which was good except for the long time it took to serve the food, which makes it now worse for me to know that there is an art centre upstairs cos i would have use the time we where waiting for the food to look around the art centre. About the food nice, but they have to try to be consistent. We had 4 plates of chicken wings for the children and all 4 tasted differently, not differently bad, but we asked for more hoping to get the same taste we got the first time but the 2nd batch came tasting differently. No they where not different types, we ordered the same thing. The roasted whole fish was the bomb the only let down was that i wanted large but they had only medium. They should get a new bar man cos their drinks where below average. Overall we had a good time at the restaurant, now i know they have an art centre am sure to visit it and tell you...

The Thought Pyramid Art Centre (TPAC) Abuja is an art museum that with better planning and labelling of art work, it would be more interesting. There were statues and sculptures outside as soon as you enter the grounds. There was a wooden table that seats four people. The couple barely answered me when I greeted them.

On the ground floor, I met a young man who told me that pictures were not allowed in the museum. I said ok and decided to be a good boy 😂 I looked round the ground floor art and sculptures within 10-15mins. Unfortunately, I wasn’t much inspired at the art displayed. Neither after enquiring from the young man on the Greek philosopher displayed, which he had little knowledge.

On reaching upstairs, I saw a young lady taking pictures. I greeted her and told her that I was told pictures were not allowed. The young damsel just continued. I then decided to take some quick photos. I saw some CCTVs, but didn’t looked switched on. So I snapped...

It’s a nice place if you love art plus you can actually purchase the art on display. I think the center will do more if the curator can organize art works with more information on the art and the artists. What makes this art work interesting? What’s unique about this artist and the period s/he created this work? I think this is what makes art meaningful and appreciated. I found myself often wondering why the artists made certain decisions. Sometimes, I could barely find the name of the artist. I also think it may be nice to arrange the art works thematically or with some sort of order or process that makes it more intriguing and not just “randomly” which is what I was told when I visited. Notwithstanding, I think it is a nice spot and you should check it out to see the...
