Great place to think and work if you're a writer/artist or whatever but only on low traffic days and that being early in the morning soon after they open, which will be anytime between 10am - 12noon. On activity days, (and boy do they have an interesting line up!), they get a great deal of visitors/clients; it wouldn't be a great time to go there in search of a writer's solace. It's also a great place to hangout with friends, talk on top of your voice and have a good laugh. The food is good; they have a variety of drinks, smoothies, coffee & special teas, pastries and breakfast options. And if you're a book lover (they've got a good collection of books for sale mostly by Nigerian authors), they also have this exchange thing going on where you can contribute your old books and in exchange get to borrow a book(s) of interests to read. In addition it is a great place to read a book or more. Again only on low traffic days. It would be difficult to read when the place is jam packed with people and activity. It is very serene. And the ambience and ethnic decor are quite soothing. Their working days are Tues to Saturdays, 10am - 8pm, and on Sundays they open at 11am till 6pm.They're closed on Mondays. You can check them out on Instagram...

A happy little artsy heaven.

It’s a wonderful cafe tucked away at the back entrance of Maitama Amusement Park. It’s away from all the noise and activity of the park and an amazing space to unwind, create and even get work done in.

They are the official distributors of Tea Pigs (a lovely English tea brand) so you can trust that they have an excellent selection of great teas to make your selections from. And if you’re a coffee lover, they brew fresh delicious coffee too. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, salads and sweet and savory bites on their menu.

The space is warm and cozy and please look out for all the art you’re surrounded by once you get in. The interior is nicely furnished and you feel right at home in the space.

They host yoga classes on Sunday morning of your looking for an easy way to relax. They also host all sort of creative events each month so look out for the flyers for these when you pop in.

P.s: I hear their carrot cake is a...

I have been looking forward to experiencing this place both for its music, mingling and food. Unfortunately i didn't get the presumed vibe. The outdoor music vibe was mix of boring and good. Luckily enough they held the really nice entertainers for last. With regards mingling, i was either antisocial or the people chose to hangout in clicks and thus i didn't come out feeling i made new acquaintances. Food on the other was just dissapointing. On going to the café, what was mostly available had to do with bread or pastry so i chose to do barbecue/suya. Unfortunately the suya just wasn't to my taste, it lacked the heat of pepper though the barbecue guy was nice enough. In the bar side, drinks where limited in choice. But asides this, the smiling service is something to applaud also the concept of such...
