The Gatsby — Restaurant in Wuse II

This is definitely one of the few fine dining places in Abuja. It is nice and cosy with beautiful ambience, themed along The Great Gatsby. Was there on a Friday evening for dinner, arrived at about 8pm and we had the while place to ourselves until around 9:30pm. We were concerned at first with the set menu thinking it would be restrictive, but our 2 choices of starters and main course were simply delicious and well presented. The banana bread for dessert was a little bit dry but the ice cream served on top made it better. Service was excellent. What takes away the 1 star is their noisy neighbour downstairs. While we were started off by enjoying toned down jazz music, their sister restaurant (more like a club) Zodara downstairs soon messed this up with their cacophony of music including a hype man that was soon vibrating the windows and even the utensils on our table. We hurriedly finished our dessert and left and was shocked to see the patrons at Zodara all calmly seated at their tables...couldn't help but wonder why the establishment thinks having such loud music and hype man is necessary for...
