I still had another day left with my Bergen Card and went to most of the major attractions so decided on visiting here. Best to take the bus with your Bergen Card to get here since it is not in the center of the city. I didn't know what to expect since it sounded like an educational place for family & kids but it turned out to be just as educational for adults! The exhibits were on multiple floors and interactive with games for kids. I went late in the day so I hardly ran into people so pretty much felt I had the whole place to myself. I learned a lot about the fishing industry and being Japanese it was amusing to see some of the exported products to Japan on display in Japanese. The most memorable exhibit was the Seal Hunting. I had no idea it was a big industry long ago. It came in 5-6 different languages, given you had time to sit and read it all. They also had children’s activities to keep the little ones entertained while learning about the seas and oceans. And adult activities as well, such as microscopes to view shells and such. There were also sections of the really old fisheries that used to be there. And a video which was pretty thought-provoking, about new regulations and what it was like before and after as a fisher person. Also the staff were super interested in answering questions and having a chat, very kind and...

I higly recommend to take the Heritage Ferry to the City Center - its only 65 NOK and it feels just great to be on such a...
