I used Snowfox Travel for 3 wonderful activities during our 6 night trip to Svalbard. We traveled during the last week of January and first week of February. The climb to the Ice Cave was unbelievable. It was certainly somewhat challenging at times, but what an experience. The sky was amazing. The guides were also fantastic. They were patient and respectful of everyone’s abilities. It was 5 people with 2 guides. The nature walk we had 1 guide for about 10 people. The guide was Sebastian. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and fun. The nature walk was very pleasant and not challenging at all. Again the sky was amazing, we saw reindeer and ptarmigans. Great experience and an easier day for us. The snowmobiling was absolutely wild. What an amazing experience. We had 2 guides for around 12 people. They give you pretty much all of the gear you need and teach you well. I did this with my 10 year old daughter and I was a little nervous but there was nothing to worry about. The conditions were not good and at times you couldn’t see 20 feet ahead. Our guides put safety first, we had a full day but had to turn around before we got to the fjords. As the day went on even though the weather got worse I got much more comfortable with the snowmobile. They are easy to use but definitely take some feel and experience. Obviously you can’t predict the weather but the wind and snow was a unique experience in itself. It’s one of the wonderful things about Svalbard is that you can constantly have a different experience due to the time of the year and the weather.

We are very motivated to return and one of the main reasons is the experience that we had with Snowfox and all of their amazing, knowledgeable and responsible guides.

Special thank you to Jiri who was involved in all 3 of our adventures in some capacity. He really did a wonderful job and is just so professional. He was also great with my 10 year...

We booked a night hiking tour with Snowfox Travel, which started at 7 PM. Our guide picked us up from the hotel, and after gathering the rest of the group, we headed out of town to the Global Seed Vault.

We stopped there and the guide shared fascinating details about how the vault was established and how it is maintained.

From there, we drove to the foot of the hill, where we parked the car, strapped ice grips onto our shoes (provided), switched on our headlamps (provided), and began our hike, ascending to the summit.

Along the way, we spotted several reindeer. We made sure not to disturb them.

As we climbed higher, the wind picked up, but the sky was stunning - a bright moon, twinkling stars, and shifting clouds.

It was cold, around -10°C, but the constant movement and climb kept us warm.

On the way down, we took a break for a hot drink - a traditional Norwegian berry infusion - and some cookies (all provided). The descent was easier but also slipperier, so we had to be cautious.

After the hike our guide took us to one of the polar bear road signs - a must-have photo for every tourist. It was his initiative and I am so grateful.

Overall it was a fascinating experience and our guide, Dan, made sure we felt welcomed and safe....

Unforgettable memories at the end of the world in Longyearbyen ,Svalbard ,Norway On June 15, 2025, we participated in Snowfox Travel's Wildlife and Nature Introduction program. The stunning Arctic scenery captivated us. The guide Noemi was so nice and friendly very impressively she prepared hot drink and the cookies for us by end of the trip.Even more unforgettable was the wonderful experience: During our trip, my husband accidentally left a small waist bag under the seat of the tour bus, unnoticed. We only realized it was missing the next day when we returned to the cruise. After contacting the company several times, they took photos and confirmed they had found it under the bus seat. Mr. Hilkman, the owner, went to great lengths to ship the bag to America on June 20th. He then contacted us several times over the next two weeks to check if we had received it. Despite customs delays, we finally received it on July 11th, 2025. We are deeply grateful to Mr. Hikmet for his assistance. His honesty, dedication, and professionalism have left us with unforgettable memories and made our trip a perfect one.Thank you again for everything you did for us.Please come to visit us if you...

Overall a average experience with snoxfox. Attend two activities with snowfox. Seed vault hike and To the top of bird cliff. The experience of seed vault hike is great. Our guide, Hikmet, is a humor guide and full of experience. Knows how to control the temple of hiking. Explain the history and his knowledge of Svalbard. Although a little expensive. It definitely worth it. To the top of bird cliff, However, not so much. The guide don't talk too much during the hiking. That's fine to me. What really matters is that I didn't feel like being taken care by guide during the hiking. The length of 10 people group over 200 meter. Something could happen at the back of the team and the guide would not had the chance to react. Since he is at the front of the group. Most of river crossing gear were carry by the team member without much discussion which I think guide could have some arrangement. Since it’s really heavy to carry during the hike. Some member even carry 2 river crossing pants.
