Lo De Osvaldo - Centro — Attraction in Asuncion

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lo de Osvaldo in the heart of Asunción. This was my first visit to this location, and everything was outstanding. The service was prompt and attentive, ensuring a fantastic dining experience from start to finish.

For appetizers, I highly recommend the fried yucca, chipa guazu, and chinchulín. Their ensalada mixta was also delicious. Each dish was flavorful and unique. As for the entrée, any meat cut will deliver an explosion of flavors, but my personal favorites are the picanha, vacio, and tapa cuadril. Every bite was a delight!

Although we encountered a small issue with one of the appetizers—the chinchulín was a bit overcooked—it was quickly rectified. The manager was incredibly attentive, checking in twice to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, which really stood out to me.

The only meat that was not up to my satisfaction was the filet mignon- lomito. It was dry and overcooked.

While Lo de Osvaldo is definitely pricier than its counterparts, the exceptional quality of both the food and the service makes it well worth the extra cost. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience...

I ordered the dry aged steak jugoso, which is medium. Unfortunately the steak was very underwhelming. Nowhere near tender, actually on the opposite side quite chewy even difficult to cut with the steak knife. I ordered grilled vegetables, which were good but again underwhelming I had a beer with a meal and it was quite tasty. It’s the home brewed Pilsner very cold and very refreshing Hands-down, the steak was very very underwhelming extremely chewy a tough piece of meat very tough for ribeye and much more so for one that’s been dry aged the flavor was a bit off, not juicy and concentrated flavor like I would expect for a cut of...

Lo de Osvaldo is one of my favorite asado places in Asunción. Their meat is usually perfectly grilled and you can really taste that the people responsible for the grill know that they're doing. For a meat place they also have a surprisingly big selection of really good salads.
