If you ever find yourself in Chengdu and feel like taking a breather, you’ve got to check out this park right in the middle of the city. It’s huge — honestly, I’m not even sure if I managed to walk through the whole thing! But every step I took felt full of life. People were everywhere, just living their best lives — chatting, chilling, taking slow walks, working out, even dancing in little groups. Some were doing aerobics, and some were just having fun dancing together. It was such a happy vibe. The park itself is full of little surprises: a peaceful Chinese-style pavilion, a big sparkling pond, gentle hills, colorful gardens, and stunning sculptures scattered all around. But one of the real highlights? The tea house. This isn’t just any tea house — it's famous for its incredible tea-pouring shows! I was absolutely amazed watching the tea masters at work. They don’t just serve tea — they turn it into a full-on performance. With long-spouted teapots, they twirl, spin, and pour tea from what feels like impossible angles, all with such grace and precision. It’s like watching a dance, but with tea! Honestly, I could have sat there all day just sipping tea and watching the magic happen. If you’re ever in Chengdu, make sure to carve out a morning for this park. You’ll get a real taste of local life and a front-row seat to some unforgettable tea artistry. 🌿🍵✨

Visiting my family in Chengdu in October right before Covid. This park is the best place to hang out with friends and friendly locals. Full experience of bliss, peace, harmony, and content at ease in cultural essence of Sichuan style. Beautiful landscapes, well designed gardens, variety of flowers and plants, architectures of Ming/Qing styles and the most importantly happy crowds of people; seniors, kids, teens, young folks, all walks of life; Singing, dancing, playing, wandering, laughing, napping, chatting, eating and so much more. You can always find something you enjoy here. I have been there so many times at different seasons and will always go back whenever I’m in town.

This is a green belt in the city that offers locals and visitors a place to slow down the pace of life and destress. There are many trees and beautiful flowers around this big park, with the nice and cute dragon displays (it's the year of the dragon) with artful landscaping, bonsai garden, tea houses, kiddie amusement rides, a pond with row and motor boats. It is tranquil. And there are monuments to commemorate those who perished during the Xinhai Revoluntionaries and Anti-Japanese era. You will find that time has stopped temporarily here and you can enjoy in the quietness over a cup of tea, while enjoying the tea pouring demonstration or the pond to relax and recharge!

This park is such a lively spot where you see all sorts of things happening. Local folks hang out and relax, while some play cards, mahjong, or dance. There’s a small market area where people sell snacks and other goods, plus there’s a spot for kayaking. There’s also a really unique “offline Tinder” section, where you can see handwritten profiles of people looking for partners, a pretty fascinating thing to see. Outside the park, there are plenty of street vendors too. It’s definitely an interesting place to stroll around and see how the locals spend their time.

Nice park in the middle of the city. It was pretty quiet aside from the hustle and bustle of everyone walking around enjoying the park. There is a lot of green here and many older style structures to walk through and around. There are also amusement rides here. However, we didn't stop to try them out. Instead, we walked through a little bonsai tree area, watched some people kick around a hacky sack with feathers, and watched a movie/television crew film something in front of the older buildings.

This isn't just a park it's THE park. Park, cafe, rowing pond, food and katra market, playground, sports ground, museum, art gallery, dating centre and the list goes on. There's a section in this park full of marriage cvs from men and women of varying ages and backgrounds. The people of Chengdu come to advertise themselves and browse for a spouse. Dating apps who? These people live in the real world 😘 If my visa permitted I could probs live in this park.
