Celebrity City Hotel — Attraction in Chengdu

The hotel was located very close to Tianfu Plaza, in the middle of the city. A ten minute walk away from the shopping district. It definitely had a 5-star feel. The breakfast buffet selection was big. The only thing I would say is the chefs were unhelpful - when my mom asked if scrambled eggs could be made for her, the chef replied “scrambled egg and fried egg is basically the same thing” 😂. This hotel is excellent value in the heart of the city center. Has a proper gym with serious equipment, much better than most hotel gyms. Didn't try the tea house or Chinese restaurant but both very appealing. Pool is in the basement, good to have this but not the most comfortable environment especially in summer. They should try a bit harder to enforce smoking areas and keep the gym area more clean/tidy. Overall still great value although a step below the newer 5 star hotels...

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far in whole China. First I arrived very late due to my flight being from Tianfu airport which is outside the city. Upon arriving at the hotel I found staff there to help me order food online at 3am and also helped me change cash to WeChat.
