What makes this resort stand out among the multitude of resorts in Baler is its overall ambiance that shouts “there is so much more to love in Baler than just the beach.” Located a bit off the main surfing area, it has a character all its own. It is only about a hundred meters away from the beachfront where the row of its neighboring resorts may be found. While these resorts sit shoulder to shoulder with each other providing their guests with nothing much except the man-made amenities of their rented rooms and the expansive beachfront that they share with everybody else, Balud Camp offers so much more. The tall mature trees that serve as roosting place for the local Imperial pigeons called Balud (from which the resort got its name) that come during certain times of the year also provide a hospitable canopy to the very impressive collection of tropical plants that thrive all over the resort. If you are looking to a more natural , authentic, Pinoy Resort living, a Stone away from the Pacific Ocean, check this destination. So serene , quiet and a great way to harmonize with nature. Don’t forget to ask for their heritage ginataang isda with pako, matched again with their signature pako salad. To complete the Baler suman is a must to experience with boiled sugared gata as its sauce, completing the culinary Baler...

What I like best was the food because they made "Heritage Dishes" as their theme. Because of this we experienced many unique dishes, cooked with simplicity so that purity of taste is achieved. They used ingredients that are unique in their region that's what made them amazing. I feel that I should return again someday in order to sample more of their dishes. Meanwhile the garden was filled with many imported and local ornamental plants arranged in a very Filipino style, very relaxed and informal. The expensive mixed with local and common to make a...
