I recently had the pleasure of visiting Anjo World Theme Park in Minglanilia, Cebu, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! As a theme park enthusiast, I've been to my fair share of parks around the world, but Anjo World truly stands out from the crowd. Here's why:
Immersive European Experience: The park is designed to transport you to a charming European village, complete with cobblestone streets, Gothic architecture, and rustic charm. The attention to detail is impressive, making you feel like you're in a real European town.
Thrilling Attractions: With over 15 rides and attractions, there's something for every thrill-seeker and family member. From roller coasters like "The Pharaoh's Ride" and "Boomerang" to water rides like "Splash Battle" , you'll find yourself screaming with delight.
Family-Friendly Fun: Don't worry if you're traveling with younger kids - Anjo World has plenty of gentle rides and attractions suitable for all ages. Like the "Golden courassel", "Space Shuttle", Mr. Cup, and Mr. Toad is specifically designed for little ones, with adorable rides and play structures.
Delicious Food and Drinks: The park offers a variety of dining options, from traditional cuisine to international flavors like pizza and ice cream. Be sure to try some of the local specialties!
Atmosphere and Service: The park's atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with friendly staff and volunteers always willing to assist. The park's cleanliness and maintenance are top-notch, making for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Special Mentions:
The "Snow World" winter-themed area is a unique highlight of the park, featuring snowball fights, snowmen building, and even snow sledding down gentle slopes. The park's nighttime spectaculars are truly breathtaking.
Cons: While Anjo World is an amazing park, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Unfortunately, photography is not allowed in Snow World or on any of the rides due to safety precautions. This was a bit disappointing for me, as I loved taking photos of the winter wonderland. If you do want to take photos, you can hire a professional photographer who will take pictures for you. However, this comes at a cost - around 200-250 per photo! It's a bit pricey, but I guess it's worth it for the memories.
What Really Stood Out: What I loved most about Anjo World was the lack of crowds! I visited on a weekday during the off-season and had the entire park practically to myself. It was like having my own personal theme park experience! The freedom to explore without waiting in lines or bumping into crowds made it an even more enjoyable day.
Conclusion: Anjo World Theme Park is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a unique theme park experience. With its immersive European-inspired setting, thrilling attractions, delicious food options, and special events like Snow World, there's something for everyone. While there are some limitations on photography, it's worth it for the overall experience. Don't miss out on this hidden gem! With its attention to detail, commitment to quality, and dedication to providing an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages, I highly recommend adding it to your bucket list.
Recommendations:
Plan your visit on a weekday during the off-season to avoid crowds. Arrive early to beat the heat and enjoy the park's morning attractions. Read moreTo what the place prioritizes most which are the attractions, what I can say is that it was quite lovely. Though of little amount, the rides were quite fun and certainly interesting on how it riles up the people in enjoying the whole thing. Another priority of the whole theme park is the so called "Snow World". It was quite lovely too since it was the closest thing we got to know what snow feels like. The large ice slide was interesting if not a bit underwhelming. But hey, what do I expect? It's mostly an oversized playground slide that's interesting. Could've been better if there were some interactions from the staff in the ice slide in a positive way. But looking into more detail, the whole atmosphere of the theme park is quite cold. Colder than the "Snow World" itself if you get what I mean. Did you keep in check of your staff's positivity? I hope that your managers aren't pressuring them too hard that they became numb or something. There are some that offer some smiles which is quite lovely especially since 2020 was such as saddening year, but that's overburdened by the sheer majority of others that do the opposite. It's quite sad and somewhat a bit unwelcoming honestly. The place is only good for a big group since their positivity would be kept lively because of their interactions and spread out emotions with each other. Flooding their eyes against the overall atmosphere in the place and feel what other people from the group feels. But if it were only a trio or less, I'd say it would be a quite depressing stay for them, which is what I have encountered. If they can't make light conversations that would make people laugh, then the least they could do is smile to us. "Service with a smile" as what I'm saying. God, even thinking about it makes me want to cry. We came there for happiness, but not all of us were happy. Both the group and the staff. Anyways, it's best if lovely people like you who's reading this would come as a group of at least 6 or more. Probably best if you dont go below it. If a parent is reading this, if you prioritize on keeping your child happy over yourselves, then yeah you could come here too. It's fun to see your child being happy, isn't it? Just be sure to keep your child cheerful yourselves. Otherwise, it would be a cold experience for him or her. If Anjo is gonna charge us a butt load of money, then at least make it feel like it was quite worth it. It's not the rides that are the ones the make memories, it's the people. No one gets flailed around from rides and expects to get happiness from it. They need other human interactions to let out the positivity from within themselves. That is why I only put three stars. The attractions were the most prioritized...
