NOT WORTH the money and utterly UNSAFE

Went here with family and friends to beat the summer heat, however, after paying a total of 500php per person, and experiencing "Snow World service", one would much rather prefer to spend money elsewhere.

The entrance fee is 350php, regardless if child or adult. Gloves and ear muffs are mandatory, so if you don't bring your own, you'll need to fork-out another 150php for some cheap free-size gloves (kids hands won't fit well) and generic free-size earmuffs. The entrance fee comes with free usage of their winter coat (with questionable cleanliness). Note though that their winter coat for kids are TOO BIG. So the kids we went with were extremely uncomfortable and couldn't move very well.

Inside the actual attraction, don't expect anything majestic or magical. I've been to several "Snow World"-like attractions in other countries, and this by a long mile is the worst I've seen.

Aside from the slide, there is nothing else to do but look at poorly-constructed creations where you're supposed to take photos of, BUT, of course you are not allowed to! Only their official (and unprofessional) photographers are allowed to take your photos. Another money-making scheme at 200php PER photo!

The slide itself is okay, though I have some concerns as this is the first time I am seeing such an attraction that does not use lifesaver/tire tubes when sliding down. Essentially, you are sliding using your coat, and I would imagine that after several runs, you will end-up with a very wet coat or a very sore bum. (I only tried once as the experience was horrible)

We asked the staff if this is normal, and they said yes. I'm not so sure if this should be a safety concern that must be addressed by the management.

Might I also note that the person that was "assisting" the people on top of the slide needs to improve his manners. When he was "guiding" us, he literally pulled the lower part of my jacket aggressively and didn't say anything, and was just pulling me toward the top of the slide. Even after telling him off, he said nothing, no apologies, nothing... extremely unprofessional. This guy is a trigger warning for assault victims.

To add insult to injury, after sliding down, we discover that their official photographer was NOT THERE.... so we didn't get a photo of us sliding down. Like come on! You forbid us to take our own photos, and yet, in the times we need you to take our photo, YOU ARE NOT THERE.

Another safety issue I saw while I was watching other people slide down... I saw one of the staff on the top of the slide throw down a bucket of crushed ice AND the ACTUAL BUCKET down the slide, with people STILL sliding down. Luckily the people sliding down didn't get hit, but one slight move, and i'm pretty sure the bucket would have hit atleast one of them in the head. I think this is a lawsuit waiting to happen....

After less than 1 hour, we left feeling like we've been scammed out of our money.

We decided to buy a couple of the photos since we were not allowed to take our own inside. So for a popping 200php per photo, we got some really poorly taken photo of our group. Honestly, a 5-year old child with a point-and-shoot camera could do a much better job.

Apparently we can download the photos we bought, but the download link DOES NOT WORK. After calling and complaining several times, they send us an email with the photos attached after 2 days. One funny note, they included photos of OTHER PEOPLE WE DON'T KNOW!!! Quality service right there!

So if I were you, if you have 500php to spend, spend it else where or atleast spend it here once they've made...

I recently visited Snow World at Anjo World Theme Park in the Philippines, and it was an absolute delight! The park's European theme is already impressive.

As soon as I stepped into Snow World, I was transported to a winter wonderland. The attention to detail is impressive, from the snow-covered buildings to the twinkling lights and festive decorations. It's clear that the park has put a lot of effort into creating an immersive experience.

The tea and hot chocolate options are a lovely touch, and I enjoyed sipping on a warm cup of hot chocolate while taking in the sights and sounds of the winter wonderland. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it perfect for a date or a family outing.

Pros:

Unique European theme that's unlike any other theme park in the Philippines Attention to detail in recreating the charm of London Cozy atmosphere and warm beverage options Fun and immersive experience for visitors of all ages

Cons:

You are not allowed to bring any device, or take a photo inside, they have their own photographer inside, you can take unlimited photo. However, by the time you will need a copy of the photo, each photo that you want a copy cause 200php.

Tips:

Be sure to visit Snow World during peak season for the best winter experience Take your time to explore the park and soak in the atmosphere Don't miss out on trying some of the local specialties at the park's food stalls

Overall, Snow World at Anjo World Theme Park is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves winter, European culture, or just wants to experience something unique...

Just would like to add a best practice here.

There is no information or any detailed offer from the admission/entrance gates that upgrades when only availing of the DAP (day access pay) isn’t applicable to the equal amount advertised at the cashier’s booth. I was trying to apply for an upgrade for an entry into Snow World but they had me pay an additional Php250 when all the while I was thinking of an additional Php200 only. Php50 may not be much but it is the rationale behind the practice that attendants/employees will have to be straightforward and honest when encouraging customers to experience the fun in Anjo World and Snow World. Information on pricing is very important as this also matters to paying customers. I tried to ask about how the management can address this but there wasn’t any flexibility extended to me as a paying customer. And they weren’t able to accommodate me as a paying customer despite their lapses. I also came to know that as employees of the theme park, they have the benefit of allowing family members for free. This is good practice and I fully support this but hopefully the flexibility to customers can also be extended most especially to paying customers.

It was not a pleasant experience for me when I was in Anjo World (can’t say about Snow World) but hopefully I was able to share a penny or two on how to improve customer service accross...

As much as I love the experience inside Snow World, one cannot really deny how unfair their business tactic can be. One might feel like its broad daylight robbery. The experience in itself is one of a kind. Have you ever had icy fog escape from your mouth, or get the feeling of living in a cold country, or even try sliding on ice? If not, then Ice World is a must for you. I even tried drinking hot choco inside and it feels like I get teleported to another country. But it has so many red flags. They don't allow you bring your phones cause it will get damaged and they also prohibit you from taking photos. They have photographers assigned to take unlimited shots, but each shots cost around P200 each. They will reason out the price since they will develop it into hard copies yet who in their right mind keeps hard photos nowadays? To add salt to the wound, they will eventually upload these pictures to their website for the soft copies you "actually need." Another red flag is the required extra payment for ear muffs and gloves. To think that Snow World is already an ala-carte inside Anjo World which requires an extra P200 from the P500 you already paid, they cant supply the ear muffs and gloves for free? What a shame...

Tucked into the back of a small strip-mall about an hours drive from Downtown Cebu is this quaint little amusement park called Anjo World. Within this park is Snow World. Now, I come from the Midwest, and I know cold and snow, but to a Filippina, this is an exotic world! They provide coats (and, for an additional fee, gloves, earmuffs, and shoes, if the ones you wear would be slippery in snow). They provide an adjustment period in the front, where the temperature is about 40F or 2C, so that your sweat evaporates and the Filippinos don't get hypothermia. Then they let you inside to their "winter wonderland" and walk around the two stories, before shooting down their ice-slide. Picture-taking is not allowed, and they have staff everywhere to enforce it. Instead, they will gladly take pictures of you, then sell the prints at the end for 200 PHP each. To a westerner, it is pretty lame. For your Filippina partner, it is utterly fascinating. I recommend it for a date! You pay an entrance fee to Anjo and an additional fee for Snow World for a total of ~1100 PHP per person. They are open Wednesday through Saturday I think.
