Pastrana Park — Attraction in Kalibo

This is a fun place to sit and relax or just go to people watch. Usually in the evenings there are lover's strolling around and the occasional dance troop practicing. It's a very chill place and is nice to relax. In the early mornings and some Evenings there are work out groups. You can always snap a picture with the large Kalibo sign. It's well lit and can make for some good photos. I will say if your going to snap some pictures of your friends or family at night the lights are a bit overwhelming in photos so your best going at dusk rather than night. It's pretty safe as it lies directly across the street from the Police station. It's kind funny on the weekends the cops chase the underage kids out of the park late at night. The major park downtown. Dec 1st was there for lighting of Xmas and tree lights. Fire works were good. Marching bands. At time of exit park very crazy and sardines cause there are certain destination of entry and exits to the park. A week earlier there was a mini fair, toys cloths food to purchase and some rides for kids. Big park in front of Kalibo Cathedral.It gets crowded during the Atiatihan festival which happens every 3rd week of January. Lovely place to rest if you want to take a break from watching the happenings on the street.They have some kiosk to buy drinks or food and Jollibee is just across the street.
