Hotel Carmen at NVC — Hotel in Kalibo

We stayed during ati atihan festival; the hotel is just off the main square so really well placed for the action. However it was noisy, but the whole town was excessively loud and crazy that weekend! (But a superb experience none the less).||Our room was a good size for a three bed room. It was clean, well decorated and everything worked. There was an electric shower which gave a good hot flow of water.||The main dining area was clean, light and airy. Breakfast was quite small but there was good mix of fruit, bread and rice plus eggs/meat.||The staff were helpful, accommodating and friendly. They knew where things were round the town and gave good advice and helpful directions. We found out they have a van and car for transport to/ from places - including Caticlan (for Boracay). We stayed for our second time on route between Kalibo and Boracay, as our flight got in late in the evening and we didn't want to make the bus ride then. ||||Booking was done via an exchange of sms messages with the manager - and no deposit was requested - which was excellent.||||The hotel was a 15 minute tricycle ride from the airport and cost a total of PHP150 for two people.||||The room was small, but clean and properly arranged. It is a small hotel with all the essentials a guest would need. ||The airconditioning unit was good, the bed was comfortable, the hot/cold shower provided ample amount of water pressure, and the whole room in general was very clean and well maintained. ||They also served breakfast in bed which was yummy! ||The location is conveniently placed near the hospital so if you have family/friends to visit at the hospital, this would be a good place to stay. ||They also provided a discount if you booked a room good for 2 yet there's only one guest who would occupy the room. ||I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is...
