Situated in the heart of Morong, Bataan is Acqua Resort. A relatively new beach vacation place. A practically traffick free NLEX AND SCTEX will get you there in two and half hours from Metro Manila, very convenient place to go to if you want a quick beach and sand experience.
The place is cozy enough, very well maintained, they also have a pool but the water is also salt water. The water coming out of the faucet and shower is also salty, you'll have a hard time getting your soap and shampoo to bubble, took me three times and 3 sachets of shampoo to finally get my hair soft and smooth enough, just bring a conditioner.
The boat ride is just ₱200/person, it I'll take you to another part of the island where you can snorkel and do some fish sight seeing. There's not much fish though. You can also request to go to the Bataan nuclear power plant and the Morong cave for some photo op.
Life vest is provided for the boat ride but earplug is not. Better have one as the noise from the boat engine comes very close to earpiercing decibel level. If u don't have an earplug, bring your earphone or don't sit close to the engine.
The boat driver though is well trained and keeps the safety of the passengers as their priority. My son suffered from an itch and unbearable pain on his inner thighs on the island where went. We don't know what to do and we don't have anything with us, the boat driver approached us and said that my son maybe experiencing what they call "habas". He said a dab of baby oil will soothe the pain but we don't have one with us. So he offered "grease". They use it on their boat engine and he said that will do as temporary relief until we can get back to the resort. And sure enough as soon as I applied some grease on the affected area, my son felt a difference. Now that's service!
All in all, I still...
Read moreThe facilities and prices here are proportional. Also, the arrogance of the employees is proportional. Here, the customer is not king. The facilities also have no consideration for guests. The swimming pool was dirty and poorly maintained, and the beach facilities were old and broken. Also, there is no wifi in the room. It's only for employees and offices. Also, no drinks or food are allowed here. If you want to eat, you have to eat like a beggar at an outside table. Even if a typhoon comes... you must read the contract carefully before checking in. All provisions are self-centered. It's selfish. You have to pay huge fines for smoking and eating. Even during a typhoon, you have to stand and smoke next to an outdoor trash can without a roof. And all the employees here have an incredibly sensitive ability to detect cigarette odor. Their nose, they say, detects the smell of cigarettes no matter what. Why don't you get a job at the airport here... Anyway, there is nothing to use other than the room facilities. More than anything else, they take great pride in their hotel and are very strict with...
Read morePro: the price may be on the higher end, but I think the value is excellent given the quality of the rooms and the overall experience.
Cons: I had some issues with the resort staff and management,I think the staff could have been more polite and understanding, rather than being confrontational. They assumed that 2 towels were lost even though the towels were found and the resort had simply miscounted them. The resort's policies are written in a very condescending and harsh manner, and the employees seem to take an arrogant and unapologetic approach to dealing with guests. The resort's policies could also be written in a more welcoming and friendly way. I hope the resort can use this feedback to improve the overall experience for future guests. I still appreciate the overall experience, and I hope the resort...
