The town of San Juan is not only known for its pristine white beaches, but is also home to a spot beloved by the locals and a must-visit for travelers. The Capilay Spring in San Juan is situated right at the center of the town itself, making it easy for travelers to visit and a favorite hang-out spot for locals.

Experience Capilay Spring like the locals do. It is built like a park, filled with green grasses and tall acacia tress, beautified with picnic tables and small roofed cottages. Since its at the very center of the town, you can buy some foods and beverages at nearby stores and eatery. Enjoy the laidback ambiance of Siquijor as you chill by a relaxing cottage.

Best of all, plunge! If you don't, it defeats the purpose. Though its green in color, its a natural pool concreted and turned into a park. There is a pipe running below the surface, beneath the road and into the ocean where the water is deposited. The place is teeming with fishes so you know its clean.

Best way to enjoy Capilay Spring:

1.) Buy some foods and do picnic. Be responsible for your own trash. Some people just throw their bottles by the spring which is sad.

2.) Bring extra clothes and plunge into the cool spring. Be careful because sometimes, there are broken shards of beer bottles underneath the floor which I though belonging to a group of youngster doing drinking session the other night.

3.) If you're only here for IG... don't, but if you are, then the bridge connecting both banks of Capilay Spring isn't the only IG worthy spot here.

Capilay Spring is situated right at the foot of a hill where St. Agustin de Hippo Church is located. You can find the stairway leading to the top of the hill where not only do you have the best bird's eye view of the spring itself, but also of the beautiful church...

This park is picnic paradise, decked out with plenty of tables and chairs just begging you to bring your favorite snacks. So, pack that basket and don your sun hat because it’s time to channel your inner picnic connoisseur!

And let’s talk about that spring water. Ideal for dipping on those sweltering afternoons, it promises to whisk away your worries with a refreshing splash.

Feeling adventurous? There’s a charming grotto just waiting for your leisurely stroll—or a perfect spot to channel your inner Instagram model. Plus, a little path leads you to one of San Juan’s picturesque churches, which is a splendid bonus for those moments when spirituality and splashing collide!

But wait, there’s more! The spring is home to some stunning koi fish and other aquatic friends in a neighboring pool. They’re basically the underwater welcome committee, ready to grace you with their colorful presence.

So grab your sunscreen and your best picnic pals, because a day at Capilay Spring Water Park is your ticket to basking in nature’s...

Capilay Spring Park is a refreshing oasis in the heart of Siquijor, offering visitors a serene escape with its naturally flowing spring water. The park is well-maintained, with lush greenery and shaded areas perfect for relaxing. The clear, cool water is a great way to beat the tropical heat, making it a favorite spot for both locals and tourists.

The park’s accessibility is a huge plus—located in San Juan, it’s easy to drop by for a quick dip or a leisurely picnic. The surrounding area has benches and seating areas, allowing families and friends to gather comfortably. The spring itself is clean and well-kept, with fish swimming freely, adding to the natural charm of the place.

While the park is a fantastic free attraction, a little more maintenance on the surrounding amenities could further enhance the experience. Overall, Capilay Spring Park is a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature’s simple beauty...
