My favorite restaurant on the island!

I was looking for some fresh seafood at a decent price (surprisingly hard to find!) when I stumbled upon Gayuma and wow, the five-star reviews are absolutely right. The place has a super relaxed, beachside atmosphere with an amazing view and the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay for hours.

The food is incredible, I tried half the menu and everything was delicious, made with really fresh ingredients. The prices are more than fair for the quality you get. You can literally taste the freshness , the owner even showed me photos of the tomatoes they use, which says a lot about their care and pride in what they serve!

But what truly makes Gayuma special is the people. G and her husband, the owners, are two of the kindest and most genuine hosts I’ve ever met. They take time to chat with every guest, making everyone feel welcome and at home. Their passion for what they do shines through in every detail.

I ended up coming back more than five times and even had my goodbye dinner on the island here with friends — that’s how much I loved it. 💛

Mario and Gay are amazing hosts as are all the staff! Their warm welcoming was perfect from the off when during a power cut we could not withdraw money, yet they let us eat and trusted us to pay when we could. The food and cocktails were incredible and so well priced! A must visit if you are here! When we were buying a pineapple, Mario drove past and said if we go to the bar they will cut it up for us, which they did. They honestly went above and beyond - thank you :)

We absolutely loved this place and came back multiple times while we were in Siquijor! First of all the food is amazing and a really reasonable price. We had the vegetable curry, fish kinilaw, & stir fry veggies with tofu and they were all really tasty and big portions. Good vegetarian options for me! The owner, Gay, is the sweetest lady and was so welcoming to us! This is definitely the best spot to eat in the area, it is right on the beach and such comforting food :) The owners love what they do and it is such a heartwarming place to be. Highly recommend...
