Baluarte SAFARI GALLERY — Attraction in Vigan

This gallery gave me goosebumps but the bad kind.

The lifesized animals here are said to be preserved remains of the hunted wild animals by Singson. My heart sank as i roam around and saw that the walls are covered with various pictures of Singson smiling with a rifle in hand and a dead wild animal infront of him.

Read some articles and said that this was "legal" but why is this even a recreational activity/ a hobby in the first place? killing animals in the wild just for fun?

If you are an animal softie, i would NOT recommend going to this place. It would just literally break your heart seeing the animals and picturing their stories as how they got in this gallery. Truly...

SAFARI GALLERY at Baluarte in Vigan Ilocos Sur serves as “The Trophy Room” of Chavit Singson… his collection of preserved dead animals. These wild animals were hunted and killed by Chavit from different countries such as Africa, Alaska and others. The preservation made was magnificent and fascinating…definitely recommended to see this...

Not recommended for animal lovers. Displays were live animals hunted & killed for sport then preserved & exported here to be bragged on. They even displayed photos at the time when they killed these poor animals. I went inside to accompany my nephews. I didn’t last for 2mins. Immediately went out after seeing the dead...
