A cool place to go to with kids on a rainy day. Be warned though - queues start at 8.30 am during busy periods. If you want to avoid queuing for 2 hours, book online the day before. Once inside, there are lots of really cool and interesting things to see and do. All open-plan. We really liked the mushroom slide, the X-ray family photo, the tree with bird sounds and various body exhibits. We were there for about 2 hours.
Once inside, there is only a drinks / snacks machine, so it's better to eat beforehand / afterwards, or bring your own food (there are a few picnic tables available). Read moreWe went there on a Monday, during the holidays. Place was filled but spacious nonetheless. Many things to learn and see for children of all ages. So why only 2 stars? Because the ticket system makes no sense whatsoever. Why do I have the option to book tickets prior to visiting date for a 30 minute window (which if u miss, means that you have to simply buy new tickets???) when u can just buy tickets on site with no such limitations? My first though was that there are only a certain amount of tickets available at a certain time, so the place is not too crowded, but that’s completely false. So do yourself a favour, go there, buy the tickets there. Do NOT book tickets beforehand, we missed the redeeming window buy a mere 3 minutes but had to buy new tickets anyways....
Read moreI absolutely love this place! Literally cannot think of a better place to go with children a rainy day, and if you have the slightest interest in science I would suggest going there without children also.
The amount, quality and range of experiments is outstanding. And absolutely everything works, couldn't find a broken part anywhere. Since you can touch and interact with everything this is impressing to me.
You can touch and do stuff yourself so it is interesting even for small children, my three year old is to young to understand the science behind. But she hand the time of her life anyways since she could interact with so much, especially...
