The museum leaves an ambiguous impression. While obviously not exactly close to the center, it is still easy to reach, is cheap (a regular adult ticket for ca. 5 EUR) and presents some interesting objects (e.g. IS-3, IL-28). However, there are some negative things as well. It is rather small (compared to similar museums), the toilets are only available in the form of mobile booths, some of them are simply disgusting. Most tanks are nice, some even look as "new", most aircraft are however in a pitiful shape. The selection is very limited, mostly a collection of old russian jets of the same type (SU-7, MiG-21, MiG-15). Three helicopters of the same type as well (polish clones of MI-8). One exposition room full of tank/plane models which is great. The other hall with the entrance labeled "Ekspozycja" was sealed unfortunately which is a pity, because according to other reviews it houses many other interesting objects. Further, there is no museum shop and no cafeteria, only a...
Read moreThis is a fantastic place to visit for both children and adults, with a vast array of military equipment from Europe and around the world. The museum is divided into several sections, each offering interesting exhibits. It includes an outdoor section with tanks and other military machines. Although not all exhibits are open in winter, the majority are accessible, and there are fewer visitors, making it an interesting destination year-round. Inside, you can see rifles, uniforms, and many other items, with the added benefit of fewer queues and crowds in winter, offering a chance to relax amidst Soviet and Polish tanks. For coin collectors, it's recommended to bring 10 PLN in coins as it might be difficult to get change on site. The tickets are relatively inexpensive, which is another plus. The museum features many machines from various countries, not just Poland, so those interested in, for example, Soviet, French, or German machinery will find many intriguing...
Read moreSeems small from the outside, but it contains quite a lot of different tanks, trucks, and even small aircraft. Highlights: helpful staff who wanted to tell stories about every single piece we saw, including a piece.of old German barbed wire. Now I don't know if they always do that or if it was a one off thing, because we visited the museum in the midst of a military recruiting event. a lot of surprisingly preserved hardware. But the weather outside is taking it's toll on some of the machines, it seems. some pieces have a fascinating history, having traveled all across the world before finding its way to this museum. The stories are on plaques so you can read them. But still, many plaques are on my in Polish. two coin vending machines for...
