Weather was not favourable and low tide. It'll be good in between tides with clear skies. Mostly gulls and a small flock of spoonbills were seen. Whilst there, the place was very quite probably off season. If you're already there, it's worth visiting Trilho de Pinhal da Interpretativo (about 200 metres before) with a donkey sanctuary inside.

Some reasonable birdwatching, no facilities so make sure you carry water/food, there are some information boards with pathways show. The site also offers some nice views of the River Targus.

Good spot for birdwatching specialy between tides. With binoculars you can see cormorants, egrets, herons, spoonbills, avocets, shell ducks, teals, redshanks, turnstones, sandpipers, stilts, ospreys, marsh harriers, and many...

Beautiful place for watching the waterfowls on the wetland by the river! We also saw loads of flamingos. Beware as part of the terrain is muddy. The interpretation center is closed...
