Basilico — Restaurant in Alcochete

Stopped by while shopping. We stood at the entrance waiting to be seated per the sign request after several employees looked at us and didn’t bother helping about 2 minutes later I walked up and asked if we could be seated. Extremely slow service. We ordered our drinks and food and after 30 minutes we were still waiting for the drinks (water and 2 cans of Coca-Cola.) after calling the waitress over to inquire about it, we got our drinks within 1 minute. Still had to wait a long period of time for our food meanwhile we literally watch other people come in after us, order and receive their pasta dishes before us. They were not super busy besides my party there were 8 other tables. Food was mediocre at best!! If you enjoy wasting money and having bad food then visit this place...

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. People that entered later got served before, enormous waiting times, drinks getting warm on the counter, food getting cold on the counter, the garlic and cheese pizza bread was awful (it had 1 millimeter of cheese and 90% air), the pasta was bland and the waitresses were rude to the clients (one of them said to a client to go get his water himself). While we were there for 2 whole hours, one other client actually got fed up, went to pay for his drink (the only thing he got in an hour) and they took so much time collecting payment from other clients that he just left. The worst pasta and salad my partner and I have ever tasted in our lives made it into the top five of our culinary disappointments. The salad was an absolute disaster; it seemed like they combined some leftover salad with overcooked pasta and presented it as a dish. The pasta, served on a flat plate (a service style I encountered for the first time), was drenched in an excessive amount of oil, turning the pesto sauce into more of an oil bath.
