Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz — Attraction in Estremoz

A little hidden gem. For me, this is one of the best science museums in Portugal, not because of it's size or quantity of experiences, but because of the reduced amount of visitors (its in a small city) and the way staff manage it.

Whitst other science museums in Portugal are very much "go and do your own thing" and where children & adults go around and try everything for as long as they want, this one stood out for me with it's personalised learning experience that is super fun and educational for children. The instructor speaks well in both English and Portuguese, and it's great at explaining things.

They can afford to do this due to the low amount of visitors (there was only us and another couple during our visit), but we literally had an instructor from the start to the end of the visit, explaining things about dinosaurs, density, volcanos, earthquakes, under water pressure (inside a fake submarine) and rock formations as the "guided" visit went on. All the children were super engaged and it created the perfect sinergy between fun and education.

Beyond this, you can also see a nearly full size replica of a T-Rex right as the visit starts - you can imagine how that's super cool for children (and for adults that want their IG selfies, Google reviews, etc). :)

Um lugar onde a grandeza é tanto por fora como por dentro. Por fora a figura do convento das maltezas, por dentro um espetáculo de conhecimento em exposições, interactividade e um evoluir na própria evolução...muitíssimo bem elaborado em toda a concepção das exposições do espaço e mesmo nos trabalhos exteriores feitos em escolas pelo nosso país fora...agradeço ao director executivo Rui Dias e aos restantes elementos tamanha amabilidade em ter dado e mostrado todo trabalho ali desenvolvido em prol do conhecimento e da própria cidade...o meu obrigado, recomendo vivamente uma visita...(o melhor de nós é aquilo que...

Um museu espetacular, todo o pessoal do staff muito amável e pessoas 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tudo muito limpo e bem cuidado, aconselho vivamente a visita com os pais e os filhos todos vão adorar. Conteúdos muito bons de fácil aprendizagem. Comprei alguns artigos na loja do museu e aconselho todos a levarem uma recordação ou até mesmo um jogo para o seu filho, tem artigos de muito boa qualidade. Este é sem sombra de dúvida um local onde quero voltar tantas vezes quantas me forem possíveis. Fui muito bem recebida pelo Alexis, pelo Eduardo, pela Susana e pela Patrícia.
