PR22 Chão dos Louros hiking route — Attraction in São Vicente

Great easy round trip in the shadow of laurel trees. As we came on Sunday we were a bit surprised that the parking place was complete full as the locals use this place for having pickings and barbecues in their leisure time. But as we headed onto PR22 (you might need to use a map as the entrance into the forest is a bit hidden on the other side of the road on the left) we walked into a beautiful nature and didn't meet anyone else on this route. It took us about an hour (with a plenty photo stops :)) to walk it. If you're a camper you might really like the camping spot that was here right next to the grills (+ running water pipes)...

Nice and very easy circular route. I could recommend it if you’re planning nice afternoon barbecue with family or friends, there’s a perfect picnic area for it and then you can enjoy a short walk thought laurisilva forest.
