Snack Bar Restaurante Boca Da Encumeada — Restaurant in Ribeira Brava

Before embarking on our PR 17 hike a couple of days ago, we indulged in a delightful Espresso coffee that set the perfect tone for the day. Post-hike, we returned to the charming Snack Bar Restaurante Boca Da Encumeada for a culinary treat. The Espetada was cooked to perfection, complemented by scrumptious salted and sautéed potatoes, and the traditional Bolo do Caco, generously spread with butter and garlic.

On our road trip today coming from north along the scenic ER228 was a feast for the eyes, leading us to a lunch stop where we savored a ‘Small’ chicken dish that was nothing short of supertasty. This restaurant is very good location. The price for tourist is charged more than double of the price for local people. These kind of price difference between tourists and locals is often happened at the touristic places. But the difference is too big. This kind of treatment for tourists causes decrease of the tourist. I don't recommend this restaurant for any tourists, because of these double price charging. OMG! You MUST try the house poncha 💚 It is absolutely delicious and you can taste the authenticity in every sip. I went a second time to have it again!

I went again and had a great coffee. It is challenging to ask for coffee in Madeira because there are so many types. I personally like the Carioca da Cafe in a big cup and bring my own plant base milk.
