Went there a couple of times with my girlfriend. It's a lovely spot to take your date to, fairly close to sintra, yet not very well known by everyone one. The beach itself is quite small and during the day mostly empty due to the currents. Next to the beach, you will find a natural salt water pool, which is lovely if you have small kids or are not quite comfortable in the cold and rough Atlantic waters. The spot is perfect to watch the sunset, being that in the water or above it. Unfortunately, there is a typical networking, hipster vibe at the beach side bar, nothing to crazy but don't br shocked if you see people wearing high heels just to take a good pic for the insta. Read moreThis is a magical place. We visited to watch the sun go down and it was spectacular. The tide was high, waves crashing up on the rocks with theatrical splashes. And as the night approached, as the tide went out, calm beauty greeted our cocktails and relaxed vibe.
The drinks are alright - caparhinas were syrupy, gin and tonics were great. Food is limited, but serviceable (toasted sandwiches and wraps). Up above is a far nicer seafood restaurant for the good stuff.
