This is known to be an annual event where the ground is filled with all sorts of ride, food and goods stalls. People from all around Rajkot district come to enjoy these 4 days of festival. Basically, Rajkot shuts down for a week. People plan to take 4-5 days holidays and drive or bus out of city, while giving space for all near by towns and village folks to come to enjoy the 'Mela'. It services nearly 1 million people in 4 days of festival. Place is filled with noise and laughter and screams from rides that otherwise is not easily accisible. If you plan to be in saurashtra, make sure to visit Rajkot for this Mela. It is going to be a memory for long time.
This place is the heart-throb of Rajkot, more famously known as "Ring-Road". People love to hangout here, especially during Summer. This is a place surrounding which there are many restaurant and ice-cream parlours. Inside the grounds are Indoor Stadium, Athletics ground, Fun World for kids, Local kids rides, Gardens, Old International Cricket stadium, Hockey ground, Football (Soccer) ground, Bal-bhavan-a place for kids to enjoy games, participate in fun-fairs, etc. There are lot many activities around this place to do or one can just sit and relax watching people go by. The place can become better if proper parking space is made available. This is the place to visit during early morning, evening and after dinner. Rajkot can't be talked about without it's Ring Road !
Race course ground is heart and center of rajkot. .it is one of the most prominent place in rajkot and famous for playing cricket, all out door activities,morning walk, janmashtmi fair, small and. Big exhibitions and and also funstreet . all ice cream shops are around . if you have visited rajkot and did not visit this than u missed a big thing.
Racecourse is so vibrant- day or night.. weekdays, business hours or public holidays.. you name it! It has literally been the city's center for years and remains a reminder of the old days as the city grows.

Racecourse Ground is really a good place where too many things occur in a year, like per year one time occur a marathon.And one time, there is a festival where the whole racecourse is covered, full of crowd, many merry-go-round, and much more like ghost house type theme, circus, magical show, many things are there in festival.In ganesh chaturthi There will be many competitions occur. Approximately 7 to 8 are divided by age group and specific gender wise competition. Like a woman have pani puri compition for man moti chur ladu, kids get 2 event 1st where many games played and another for art competition.There are GURBAH playing ground for NAVRATRI. Like many things are happen here, sometimes there will be a katha for Ramayana or Mahabharata. there is garba event in navratri, also usually many property fest, hast-kala (traditional hand made thing) samuh,also sometimes occurs army equipment showcase to encourage people join in army.
In usual days it is a ground for a cricket enthusiasts dekh ke Mafia early in the morning actress 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and many return here after 4 p.m. till the sun goes down it really a good I be here also at a evening many four wheeler and two wheeler learners to try out there skills
Whatever you are seeing the photos except mine are taken at some kind of festival time so you can't figure it out exactly how it looks in a normal day or Sunday
Also I told you how many gets are there most commonly there are 4 gates which are radially place although there is one extra internal path which connect ground with other sport places like indoor stadium and Bal Bhavan it usually closed after 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. after that all the peoples are just sitting at there circumference at night which is really good view someday you should come here and try out this kind of enjoyment suggest you to come here except Sunday if you want to really enjoy the night view because on the of day there are many public near by come here to enjoy the same view

A programme ‘Defence Youth Fiesta-2019’ will be organized at the Race Course ground from February 24-27 by a city-based Genius Group engaged in education sector in collaboration with the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited (TCGL).
Officers of the Indian Air Force, Navy, BSF, ISRO, NCC and Gujarat police will participate in the event. They will be joined by over 5,000 students from various educational institutes. The institutes will display 500 projects. The theme of the programme is ‘Know Your Defence Forces’ and encourage the youth to join the armed forces.
The main attraction of this event will be Wagah border parade, which will be performed by students in front of the replica of Wagah border. Hands-on training workshops will also be held to create awareness among 25,000 students of various self-finance schools of Rajkot. The BSF will showcase artillery guns and perform various drills during the event.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated a defence based exhibition, 'Defence Youth Fiesta 2019' in Gujarat's Rajkot on Sunday. The theme of this exhibition is 'Know Your Defence Forces'. This theme is chosen with a view to encourage the youth to join the armed forces. Officers of the Indian Air Force, Navy, Border Security Force (BSF), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), National Cadet Corps (NCC) and Gujarat police are participating in the event. Over 5,000 students from various educational institutes are participating in this program.
