Citadel Park — Attraction in Deva

Undoubtedly the best and largest park in Deva. It went through a major overhaul about a decade ago and it's been well maintained since.

There are multiple enteances on each side of the park, with one of them opening up to the street leading to the city center and one leading to the stairs going up to the Castle.

Inside the park there's a giant playground for kids and plenty of benches and walkway for everyone to enjoy the nature. There's limited parking available but the park itself is within walking distance of any other relevant...

Wonderful place. There is a funicular for those who have problem with hiking but still want to enjoy the fortress. Beware, you have to ask locals int time if the funicular works. The huge romanian flag destroys the estetics, unfortunately. If you are lucky, the inside of the fortress is open so you can visit the Dávid Ferenc monument. Nice place to spend some time if you’re in Deva. The park is clean, well maintained, and has a calm atmosphere. From here you can walk up to the fortress or just relax and enjoy the green space.
