Ștrand Ostroveni — Attraction in Râmnicu Vâlcea

First things first: parking- there are quite a lot of parking spaces nearby, but if course if you don’t go there in the morning during weekends, chances are that you will not find one. There are 2 pools with salty water- very salty water and regular pools where you must enter after cleaning yourself up of all the salt. There are plenty showers spread all over. There are a lot of people from different social backgrounds, but that it’s not a problem- people were having fun in the water or just sunbathing. Loungers are paid separately inside after entering and paying the entrance ticket. Keep in mind that during weekends if you go later than 10-11 in the morning chances are you won’t be getting one as they are in limited number. That was the case for us, we had only one and we used it to keep our bags and some of us stayed in the sand. Also umbrellas are paid separately and in limited numbers. I didn’t liked the fact that many loungers were “keep” with a tower on top for people maybe coming later or maybe left to return in the afternoon. It doesn’t seem fair though: being such a cheep ticket, one could go and just stay there all day or leave and the loungers to be given to somebody else. They should definitely review their policy regarding this situation. To be honest, the overall prices are low not only tickets but food and drinks as well. Am fost săptămâna trecută, NU recomand decât dacă nu aveți ceva mai bun de făcut. Intrarea este 20 de lei de persoană, bani în care nu este inclus și tariful șezlonguri. Dacă vrei șezlong (altfel nu prea ai cum să te așezi), mai scoți din buzunar încă 20 lei/persoană. Atenție! NU toate șezlongurile au umbrele, fie vii cu ea de acasă, fie te rogi de vreun angajat să îți facă rost de una. În timp ce unii clienți se așezau frumos, fără a achita nimic, nouă ni s-au cerut 40 lei pentru două șezlonguri de către un “băiat deștept”, angajat al ștrandului. Am plătit, deși pe site scrie “șezlonguri în limita locurilor disponibile”. Ce se întâmplă însă dacă intrii și constați că nu mai este niciun loc/șezlong disponibil? Noi am pățit asta, a trebuit să căutăm mult și bine până să găsim, însă din păcate, a trebuit să stăm despărțiți o vreme de cei cu care venisem pentru că n-am găsit locuri unii lângă ceilalți. Șezlongurile arată deplorabil, pătate, murdare, etc. Cred că nu au mai fost schimbate de ani de zile. Pot fi achiziționate niște huse cu care să fie îmbrăcate și spălate/înlocuite/schimbate ori de câte ori este necesar. Dar e greu, scade profitul, deși în zilele caniculare și nu mai, acesta este imens. Există cabine de duș, însă nu toate dușurile sunt funcționale. La toaletă nu am mers, deci nu pot comenta, în schimb, cabinele unde pe poți schimba, au un aspect neîngrijit, iar unele dintre acestea sunt folosite pe post de WC. Bazinul cu apă dulce este plin de impurități, de alge pe care angajații încearcă să le colecteze în timp ce oamenii se află în apă. La bazinul cu apă sărată nu am mers. Prețurile sunt acceptabile, găsești cam tot în materie de băuturi, pentru consumatorii de Cola vă anunț că nu au decât Pepsi. The only thing I enjoyed was the poolwith salty watet and the weather. Most of the sunbeds were damaged, the fodd at the only restaurant in the strand was of low quality. In the whole week I spent at the strand it wasn't cleaned even once. On the site it says the entrance ticket is 20 Ron/day but if you want to go out of the strand to rest or eat for couple of hours you had to pay the entrance tiket again,which it is a robbery.
