The remains of the Royal castle are from 16th century, although the castle was built on the place of the old Princely castle from 15th century. There's even data that there were fortified positions at this place from the 14th century. The visitors can climb up the old staircase all the was to the roof. At each level of the tower there are a few images with text about the old rulers which marked the story of the tower (of course, Vlad the Impaler is featured a lot, but with interesting and accurate information).
