This place is more expensive than Therme Bucharest. So, naturally, when paying this price, one would expect the same amount of features. However, compared to Therme: The spa is just a regular hotel spa, a small jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna Throughout the day there are no events at the saunas, no aufguss or arometherapy There are no special (salt, lithum, Ca) pools, there is a thermal water pool but you can get that for 20RON in Sanmihaiul German (10mins away with car), and the price difference compared to Therme is more than 20RON There are little to no water jacuzzis, at Therme there are many spots with jacuzzis in the water and cool beds, here there is a lack of such things There are some sunbeds in the water, however, there is no one there to administer them. People just leave their towels there and go about their business so you won't get a spot there, it's just a bunch of empty sunbeds. There are just plastic chairs on the inside, not good places to sit The food is straight out bad. Not compared to Therme but in general. Compared to therme it is a joke. The separations on the water slides make it uncomfortable experience. The water slides are way less complex. The water is no where near as warm as it is at Therme. At therme you can buy things with your braclet and then you pay at the exit with your card. Here you have to place money in advance on the bracelet. Also, you can only do that with cash. You cannot put money on your bracelet with card. You have to carry your card around the pool area if you want to buy things. The credit system is in place so they could have allowed you to buy things with your bracelet and just pay at the end but they don't. And the only reason for this seems to be ill will. The "relaxation" area is worse than just sitting at home. You just sit on a sunbed and there is radio music. So you have to listen to frequent commercials. At home at least there are no comercials. The hair driers blow cold air instead of the normal hot air you would expect from a hair drier. I would write more but I'm out of time. Overall it's a way worse experience for more money. Aside for being more expensive you are also charged extra for parking.
It's a good place to relax but the benefits do not justify the price.
L.E. To respond, I've checked the prices again. A full day at therme during the weekend with full benefits is 160RON. A full day here during the weekend with full benefits is 150RON + 15RON parking fee which amounts to 165RON. So, it is not cheaper. I've changed my review to 1 star for the fact that you simply lie and...
Read moreTimisoara really needed this Aquapark and although it's more expensive than Hungary spa's, it's great that is here and people can enjoy their time here. You can see that is brand new and how well maintained and cleaned it is. It has a variety of water slides and attractions for all ages, including a kids' area, a lazy river, and a wave pool. The water is clean and well-maintained, and the lifeguards are attentive. I think they've done a good job regarding kids play area because they have plenty of things to do. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, although the prices are a bit high and during the week they don't have a lot of food and variety. There is also a bar outside where you can enjoy your drink in the pool. The spa area is really nice and feel so luxurious and relaxing. Water very warm, expecially on the kids pool. What was very inconvenient for us the fact that there is no lift and it was very difficult to go upstairs with the pushchair and the little one,so please be aware about this if you are coming with a pushchair and you want to sit upstairs. Time will tell how well maintained and clean will be. Overall,it was a great experience and I do recommend visiting Amazonia Aquapark.
To improve: -show where the entrance is (at least the second one) because from the main street you cannot see where the entrance is and that should be...
Read moreFirst of all, it's not a bad experience, there are 4 water slides, the big one is pretty fun, the mid one is okay, definitely worth a try, i went on the big one multiple times, it was kinda fun, i went on a public holiday, the water slides were stacked, huge lines leading up to them. There's 4 jacuzzi type mini pools, those were also kind of full. In the children pool are a lot of things and toys for them to play with. Nicely done, it is and looks brand new, the entrance is kind of expensive though. The food is decently priced and bad, i'd not recommend their restaurant, the potato wedges are full of paprika, ruins the taste, schnitzel was ok, i had a tripe soup, it was tasteless and really fatty. For a full menu and a Sprite i paid 63 lei. There is an outside pool, the outside pool is really nice, the water it really warm, and there's a pool bar, we bought lemonade and some mocktails and they were really nice. Overall a nice experience, fun for the kids, if you are a slide lover, it's not really the best. EDIT: They have changed their restaurant provider or something because the food is good now, and they also have outside pools and a slides, i recommend it, it's fun for the kids and for adults also, there is also a spa but i have not gone there, but it seems like they have a really complex package. I...
