Museum of Russian Vodka — Attraction in Адмиралтейский округ

While the museum displays interesting stuff and allowed you to sample some of the vodka, they over charged me for a bottle of vodka I bought. They told my friends and I that the particular bottle of vodka is not available anywhere else besides at the museum. Paid 2000 roubles for it. But I found the very same one at a supermarket next to my hotel. They were selling it at 899! Less than half of what I paid for. When asked why the huge difference and why is it found at the supermarket, they claimed that they cannot gaurantee the quality of what's sold at the supermarket!! To me, it's only an excuse. The staff are friendly, there is not much to see here just a wide range of vodka bottle collections, bottle caps, papers and statue in only ONE room. Its gonna cost you 400 -700 depend on your choice of tour guided or not guided. The guide was giving another tour when we arrived so we had a snack in the attached restaurant while waiting. It is a little bit expensive but you get 200 rub off the entry fee if you order in the restaurant so bear that in mind. The tour itself was really interesting, I'd recommend getting the guide with tasting rather than just an audio. You try 3 vodkas at the end with snacks, and you get a really interesting insight into Russian culture. I would recommend visiting...
